Six Short Stories of Flannery O’Connor

Presenter: Ms. Kathleen Lyons

Parishioner Kathleen Lyons, the former Director of the Center for Interfaith Relations, and Bellarmine University professor, is offering a six-part series exploring six short stories of Flannery O’Connor.  “Flannery O’Conner described her fiction as stories about Original Sin. In this condition, her characters, often bizarre, make choices based on pride or selfishness. These choices prove to be disastrous, often hilariously so, but they also lead to a moment of grace. This is also a moment of truth, or a realization of  redemption through the grace of the Cross.”

The Cathedral of the Assumption newsletter, The Cathedral Star, is published throughout the year to inform parishioners of the many events, celebrations and happenings going on within our parish.
