Our Social Concerns Coordinator is available during regular office hours to provide emergency assistance and referrals to those in need in the community, whether parishioners, daily lunch guests, or citizens of Metro Louisville. The following assistance is provided regularly:
If you are stranded in Louisville, have been here less than 30 days, and need assistance with a Greyhound Bus ticket, please contact Traveler’s Aid at (502) 540-2612 or visit their office at 410 W. Chestnut Street. Traveler's AidTraveler's Aid provides one-time assistance with stranded individuals and families, usually through Greyhound. When the agency has funds, their policy (to the best of my knowledge) has been to provide a free bus ticket one time to an individual over 65, with a disability, or with children, or to offer a discount to other individuals. People must have a contact at their end destination whom they can contact by phone and who can confirm that the individual/family has a place to stay when they arrive.
