Confirmation completes initiation into the Catholic faith.  During this sacrament, the Archbishop anoints the candidates with oil and confers on them the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Confirmation preparation begins in September and culminates with the celebration of the sacrament during the Easter Vigil.  Preparation activities include weekly Religious Education classes, service opportunities, a fall day of reflection to create a sense of unity among the candidates, a spring retreat day and an interview with a parish leader shortly before the reception of the sacrament.  Confirmation candidates are either 8th grade or will be 13 years of age by the end of the year prior to Easter.
