Track 5 – Nave

https://www.cathedraloftheassumption.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/audio/Track_5_The_Nave.mp3

The Cathedral’s ornate columns and pointed arches and the ceiling’s ribbed vaulting are characteristic of Gothic design.  Over 8,000 six pointed stars of 24-karat gold leaf are placed at random on a field of blue.  The interior walls are painted in a faux technique that creates the effect of limestone blocks.  The floor is white oak tongue-in-groove planking.
